| Het
is mogelijk om in Tribunj een halve dag of een hele
dag een bootje te huren. Bijvoorbeeld bij de brug naar het oude dorp
worden enkele geel/blauwe, eenvoudige motorboten verhuurd. Kosten ca.
50 euro per dag. De verhuurder geeft u desgewenst eerst een korte
instructie en vaart een stukje met u mee. Er zijn ook snellere motorboten te huur, aan de andere kant van het oude dorp. Bij boten, langer dan 3 meter, is een vaarbewijs vereist. Het is heel leuk om zelf langs de eilandjes voor de kust te varen, u mag overal aanleggen en bijvoorbeeld picknicken op uw eigen eilandje. Mocht u vanuit Nederland zelf uw boot willen meenemen naar Tribunj, dan kan dat zonder problemen. Wij zijn u graag behulpzaam bij het reserveren van een ligplaats en het te water laten. There
are boats for rent in Tribunj. At the bridge at the old village
small yellow/blue motorboats are available for tourists. Costs ca. 50
euro a day. The owner will give you instructions and a demonstration.
Of course you can also rent speedboats or large motorboats, please note
that for boats larger than 3 m a special permit is necessary. It is
great to explore the islands in front of Tribunj with your own boat,
how about a picknick at your own island?If you like to take your own boat to Tribunj, we will gladly assist you in finding a place in the harbour. |

Wandeling naar Sv. Nicolai Op een heuvel bij Tribunj ligt het eeuwenoude kerkje Sv. Nicolai (uit 1452). Vandaar heb je een prachtig uitzicht over Tribunj en omgeving, de zee en de eilanden voor de kust. Tegenover de stenen brug naar de oude dorpskern ligt een kerk. Links van de kerk loopt een pad naar boven. De wandeling naar boven duurt ca. 10 minuten. Sommige stukjes zijn vrij steil maar goed te doen. Bovendien is het uitzicht zeker de moeite waard!
Walk to Sv. Nicolai On a hill in Tribunj you will find the small ancient church Sv. Nicolai (1452). It offers a lovely view on Tribunj and its surroundings, the sea and the islands. Opposite the stone bridge to the old centre of the village is a church. On the left side of the church there is a path uphill. The stroll uphill takes about 10 minutes. Some parts are rather steep but not difficult. Moreover, the view is certainly worth wile!

Restaurants In Tribunj zijn prima restaurants te vinden. Allemaal hebben ze hun charme, maar het restaurant met het mooiste uitzicht is zonder meer “Luna”. Tegenover de oude dorpskern, direkt aan zee gelegen, biedt het – overdekte - terras op de eerste verdieping een schitterend uitzicht op zee. De motor- en zeilboten varen vlak langs het terras, op weg naar de haven. De prijs/kwaliteitverhouding is erg gunstig. In het hoogseizoen is reserveren gewenst.
Restaurants In Tribunj you will find excellent restaurants. All have their specific charm, but the restaurant with the most beautiful view is without a doubt "Luna". Opposite the old village centre, directly situated near the sea, the terrace at the first floor offers a magnificent seaview. The yachts and motorboats pass at close distance, on their way to the marina. The relation between price/quality is very favourable. In the mainseason reservations are preferred.

Als u in Tribunj verblijft, is een uitstapje naar de Krka-watervallen de moeite waard. Het is een Nationaal Park, dat wil zeggen een bescherm natuurgebied. In Vodice en Tribunj zijn excursies te boeken naar de Krka-watervallen. U kunt er ook zelf met de auto naar toe. Uit Tribunj gaat u naar de snelweg (borden A1 volgen), richting Split, afslag Skradin. De rit duurt ongeveer een half uur. U volgt dan de borden naar Skradin, Slapovi Krke (= Krka-watervallen). Bij het plaatsje aangekomen, hoeft u niet de eerste de beste parkeerplaats te nemen. Wat verderop zijn nog meer parkeerplaatsen, daar is meestal ook nog plaats en dat is dichterbij. U wandelt naar de aanlegsteiger vanwaar de boten naar de Krka-watervallen vertrekken. Vooral bij drukte varen de boten af en aan (en dus niet slechts 1x per uur zoals op de borden staat aangegeven). U hoeft geen kaartje te kopen voor de boot, dit zit bij de toegangsprijs van het park inbegrepen. Na een klein half uur varen, wordt u afgezet bij de ingang van het park. Bij de loketten koopt u uw toegangsbewijs voor het park. U kunt bij de loketten ook kaartjes kopen voor een rondvaart door het park. U vaart dan over de rivier Krka naar bijv. het klooster/museum op het kleine eilandje Visovac. In 2006 bedroeg de toegangsprijs 70 kuna (= ca. 9 euro) per persoon. Kinderen t/m 14 jaar krijgen korting. Daar is de boottocht heen en terug naar Skradin dus bij inbegrepen! Langs enkele terrassen komt u bij de onderste waterval terecht. Hier mag u zwemmen (zoet water!) en dat is zeker voor kinderen een hele belevenis . Zowel links als rechts van de watervallen loopt een wandelpad omhoog, langs allerlei grotere en kleinere watervallen. Boven aangekomen kunt u doorsteken naar de andere kant en daar weer naar beneden wandelen. U kunt zo lang blijven als u wilt, de laatste boot gaat ca. 19.00 uur terug naar Skradin. Het is raadzaam om niet te laat te gaan, midden op de dag kan het behoorlijk druk zijn bij de boot en ontstaat er een wachttijd. Bovendien kunt u er wel een dag doorbrengen, zwemkleding niet vergeten!
Krka-waterfalls
During your stay in Tribunj you should not forget to visit the Krka-waterfalls. This is a national park, a protected area. In Vodice and Tribunj you could arrange an excursion to the waterfalls, but you can also visit them by car. From Tribunj take the highway (follow signs A1) direction Zagreb, later direction Split and leave at "Skradin". This takes about half an hour. Follow the signs to Skradin, Slapovi Krke (= Krka waterfalls). You do not have to take the first parking place, there are several that are situated closer to the water. Walk up to the boats to Krka-waterfalls, which leave every 10 minutes in the mainseason. You do not have to buy a ticket at the boat, this is included in the park entrance. After a boattrip of about 30 minutes you come to the entrance of the park, where you buy your tickets (about 70 kuna = 9 euro p.p. this is including the boattrip). Children up to 14 years have a discount. At the entrance you can also arrange excursions to for instance the monastry Visovac. After a short walk through the park you reach the lowest waterfall, where swimming is permitted. Especially for children this is a real sensation! Both left and right of the waterfalls are paths uphill. Enjoy the view and the small and larger waterfalls as you walk uphill, at the top cross the waterfall and descend again to the lower waterfalls on the other side. We advise you to go in time, in the middle of the day it can be very crowded at the boats. Moreover, you can easily spend a day here, do not forget swimwear! |

De
Kornati-eilanden
zijn een toeristische trekpleister. Er worden vaak boottochtjes
georganiseerd, je kunt zelf een boot huren en er wordt ook
visgereedschap verhuurd.De
eilanden zijn in trek bij de
zeilers vanwege de mooie omgevingDe
oppervlakte van is 300 km2 met maar liefst 148 eilanden. De
kleinere eilanden hebben een oppervlakte van 62
km2. Doordat deze eilandengroep
een uitzonderlijk
natuurlandschap
bevat en vooral een rijk ecosysteem heeft, is een groot deel van de
Kornati-eilanden in 1980 tot een nationaal park benoemd. Het deel dat
tot het
nationale park hoort heeft een oppervlakte van 220 km2 en heeft in
totaal 89 eilanden. De omtrek van het nationale park is
185 km lang. Het park heeft de naam Kornati gekregen omdat
het grootste eiland Kornati heet.De meeste eilanden zijn kaal,
vroeger waren sommige eilanden bebost. De bewoners van Murter bewerken
het land dat ze op de eilanden hebben. Ze verbouwen daar olijven,
vijgen en hebben vaak een wijngaard. De
Adriatische Zee behoort tot een van de meest blauwe zeeen van de
wereld. Er is geen
blauwere zee dan die bij de
Kornati-eilanden
In de zee zijn heel veel grotten, veel
verschillende soorten vissen en schelpen. Een speciale attractie is de
binnenzee op een van de eilanden, die uniek ter wereld is omdat het
water er erg zout is en 5 graden warmer dan de omringende zee, terwijl
er nooit een verbinding met de zee is gevonden. Het water schijnt een
heilzame werking te hebben....In

boeken, onder andere naar de Kornati- eilanden.
Kornati-islands
A
special turistic attraction are the Kornati-islands, they are a
well-known destination for sailing boats. Because of its extraordinary
landscape and rich ecosystem a large part of the Kornati-islands is
declared a national park in 1980. The part which belongs to the
national park is 220 km2 and contains 89 islands. Most
islands do
not have any vegetation, but some have olive trees, figes and
vineyards, owned by the people of the village Murter.The
Adriatic sea is one of the most beautiful blue seas in the world. There
is no sea more blue than the one at the Kornati-islands. There are
caves, a large variety of fishes and shells. A special attraction is
the innersea at one of the islands, which is one of its kind because
the water is very salt and 5 degrees warmer than the surrounding sea,
although a connection with the sea has never been found.

| Bezoek aan de zeeorgel + zonnegroet in Zadar | ||||
| Zadar
is een mooie havenstad,50 km van Tribunj en een bezoek zeker waard. U
kunt een wandeling
maken langs de dikke vestingmuren en door het oude centrum met
eeuwenoude gebouwen en kerken maar ook moderne winkels en even
uitrusten op een van de vele terrassen. Of u kunt genieten van het
lekkerste ijs van de Dalmatische kust, bij de ijswinkel van Donat bij
de grote kerk. Zee-orgel En als u dan toch in Zadar bent, moet u zeker een bezoek brengen aan het zee-orgel, dat zich bevindt langs de boulevard die rond het centrum loopt. Er bevinden zich op zee-niveau 35 pijpen van verschillende lengte en diameter die door een ingenieus systeem de wind en zeebewegingen omzetten in een uniek, mystiek geluid. Langs het water bij het orgel zijn trappen aangelegd waar u kunt zitten genieten van deze aparte ervaring. Vooral in combinatie met de zonsondergang boven zee is dit een echte belevenis. Het zee-orgel is ontworpen door de architect Nikola Bašić, met de hulp van verschillende experts: Professor Vladimir Andročec, een hydraulisch expert verbonden aan de Technische Universiteit van Zagreb, de pijpen zijn vervaardigd door Goran Ježina uit Murter, een beroemde orgelbouwer en afgestemd door Professor Ivica Stamać uit Zagreb. De architect ontving voor zijn ontwerp in 2006 een europese prijs voor inrichting van de openbare ruimte en werd als beste gekozen uit 207 inzendingen uit heel Europa Sea organ Zadar is a beautiful city, well worth a visit. Enjoy the old centre with its ancient buildings and churches and, in contrast, the modern shops. While you are in Zadar you should not forget to visit the sea organ and the Greeting to the Sun. The sea organ is situated near the new cruiser port, as a part of Zadar's Riva, and can be observed as a differently shaped part of the coast which consists of several stairs that descend into the sea. The stairs extend for about 70 meters along the coast, under them, at the lowest sea-tide level, 35 pipes of different lenght, diameter and tilts were built in vertically to the coast and they raise aslant until the paved part of the shore and end in a canal (a service corridor). On the pipes there are LABIUMS (whistles), which play 7 chords of 5 tones. Above the canal there are perforated stone stairs through which the sound comes out, the air pushed by the sea. This site is a blend of human ideas and skills and the energy of the sea, waves, tide and flood, a place for relaxation, contemplation and conversation while listening to an endless concert of mystic harmonies of the "Orchestra of Nature". Sea Organ is constructed according to the project made by architect Nikola Bašić with the help of several experts: Professor Vladimir Andročec was the sea hydraulics consultant from the Zagreb Civil Engineering University, the pipes were made by Goran Ježina from Murter, a well-known organ art workshop - Heferer from Zagreb made 35 labiums for every pipe, and it was tuned by professor Ivica Stamać from Zagreb. In 2006 Croatian architect Nikola Bašić received the European Prize for Urban Public Space in Barcelona for his Zadar Sea Organ project, as the best among 207 candidate projects from across Europe.
Een stukje verder langs de boulevard vindt u de 'Zonnegroet', ook ontworpen door de architect Nikola Bašić. Het is een grote verlichte cirkel in de boulevard met een diameter van 22 meter, bestaande uit driehonderd glasplaten. Onder de glasplaten bevinden zich lichtmodulen die een symbolische communicatie met de natuur verbeelden. In samenhang met het ritme en geluid van het zee-orgel wordt er na zonsondergang een indrukwekkende lichtshow gegeven. De lichtmodulen werken op zonne-energie en leveren niet alleen de energie voor de vele lampjes in de cirkel, maar ook voor de verlichting van de gehele boulevard. Het project is daarmee een voorbeeld van de combinatie van nieuwe energiebronnen, energiebesparing en inrichting van de openbare ruimte. In samenwerking met Prof. Maksim Klarin van de Maritieme School in Zadar zijn in de ring rondom de cirkel de namen vermeld van alle heiligen waarnaar nu en vroeger kerken zijn vernoemd op het schiereiland. Naast hun namen staan hun geboortedagen en gegevens die samenhangen met de Sint Grisogonus Kalender. Deze kalender vormde de basis voor navigatie en tijdsbepaling. Greeting to the Sun After the world-known Sea Organs, Zadar has become wealthier with one more urban installation. On Istarska obala, at the very end of the Zadar peninsula, next to the famous Sea Organs, shines the Greeting to the Sun made by the same architect Nikola BašićThe Greeting to the Sun consists of three hundred multi-layered glass plates placed on the same level with the stone-paved waterfront in the shape of a 22-meter diameter circle. Under the glass conduction plates there are photo-voltage solar modules through which symbolic communication with nature is made, with the aim to communicate with light, just like the Sea Organs do with sound.Simultaneously with the most beautiful sunset in the world the lighting elements installed in a circle turn on, and, following a particularly programmed scenario, they produce a marvelous, exceptionally impressive show of light in the rhythm of the waves and the sounds of the Sea organs.The photo-voltage solar modules absorb the sun energy and then transform it into electrical energy by releasing it into the distributive voltage power network. It is expected for the entire system to produce around 46.500 kWh yearly, being, actually, a small power plant from which energy will be used not only for the Greeting to the Sun installation, but also for the lighting of the entire waterfront. This energy will be three times cheaper than the actual one, and the project itself is a unique example of connecting the use of renewed energy sources, energy efficiency and city space arrangement. In cooperation with prof. Maksim Klarin from Zadar Maritime School, the names of the saints after which present and previous churches on the peninsula have been named are carved in the ring surrounding the Greeting to the Sun. They are sanctae Anastasiae, sancti Donati, Simeonis Ivsti, Chrysogoni and Zoili, and also Hieronymi, Lucae, Platonis, Eliae... Next to their names and the date of their feast day are the declination and the altitude of the sun, the length of the sunlight on that day and in that place on the waterfront. Thus the connection is emphasized between Zadar and the Saint Grisogonus Calender, who contributed greatly in marking time and astronomic navigation at its very beginnings.The Greeting to the Sun installation, as a model of the solar system with its appertaining planets, is connected to the Sea Organs whose sound is transposed into a show of light that starts performing on the Zadar waterfront after sunset. In creating the lighting effects, the installation will be able to receive other outer, spontaneous impulses through modem connection, while the lighting pictures will adapt to different occasions.The attractiveness of the Sea Organs, for which the esteemed Zadar architect Nikola Bašić has received numerous international and national awards, has charmed not only Zadar and Croatia, but also the entire world, and there is no doubt that Zadar has acquired a new and excellent attraction with its Greeting to the Sun.
